have any words to explain his side's abject surrender to
Sri Lanka in the Coca Cola tri-nation trophy final on
Sunday night saying the result was "difficult to

Lanka defeated India by eight wickets in the last prelims
matches here in Sharjah today. Playing first Sri Lanka made 294
runs. Both Jayawardane and Attapatu scored a century each.
Whereas Muralitharan destroyed the Indian batting attack. He
bowled brilliantly taking seven wickets and giving just 30 runs
in his 10 overs.

India were made to sweat out again by Zimbabwe in order
to clinch a place in the finals of the Coca Cola
Champions Trophy against Sri Lanka. In the end India
managed to win the match by 3 wickets. Skipper Sourav
Ganguly reached a personal milestone of 6,000 one-day

thumping victory of 123 runs over
Zimbabwe
and entered the finals of the Coca-Cola Cup Trophy.
Zimbabwe won the toss and put Sri Lankans to bat first.
Jayasuriya gave the best possible start to Sri Lankan
innings. He hit Paul Strang for 4 fours and 1 six in his
one over, He scored 87 of 86 balls. He was also declared

Sharjah, Oct 25: Indian Vice-Captain Rahul Dravid
is out of the ongoing Coca Cola Cup tri-series and will
be replaced by Uttar Pradesh all-rounder Mohammad Kaif
who is reaching here on Wednesday, a day before India
play Zimbabwe in the second phase league. ``Dravid is
out of the tournament with a broken finger,'' skipper
Sourav Ganguly said after the nets here on Tuesday
afternoon.

defeated Zimbabwe in an exciting finish by 13 runs. Zimbabwe
requiring 266 runs to win in their respective 50 overs lost two
quick wickets in form of Douglas Marillier and Grant Flower.
But, then Andy Flower and Carlisle took charge and added over
100 runs in the third wicket partnership. At 25 overs of
Zimbabwean innings the match was evenly poised except the
constantly rising run rate for the Zimbabweans. Zaheer Khan was

5 wickets in the opener of the Coca Cola Trophy in
Sharjah.
India made a measly 224 in their innings which was
not enough for the Lankans. A Brilliant century from the master
blaster, Sachin Tendulkar saved India from a possible humiliation as
none of the other batmen could make a substantial
